Terms of Service
GigCrate, a Global Apogee product
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These terms apply to DJs who create GigCrate accounts and to guests who take part in an event through a GigCrate event page. By using the platform you agree to them.
The service
GigCrate currently allows DJs to:
- Create events
- Generate QR codes for their events
- Receive guest song requests
- Receive crowd votes on requests
- Manage request statuses
- Schedule and manage events
- Interact with guests during events
Additional functionality may be added, changed or removed over time.
DJ account responsibilities
As a DJ using GigCrate, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that takes place under your account
- Using the platform properly and lawfully
Accounts must not be shared or used in ways that compromise the security of the platform or of other users.
Acceptable use
When using GigCrate, you must not:
- Violate applicable law
- Harass or threaten others
- Submit malicious content
- Attempt unauthorised access to any account or system
- Circumvent security controls
- Manipulate voting through automated or coordinated abuse
- Attack or overload the platform
- Exploit vulnerabilities
- Impersonate another person or business

Song requests and votes
Song requests and votes are suggestions only.
The DJ retains full and final control over music selection. GigCrate does not guarantee that a requested song will be played, that a highly voted song will be played, that a request will be accepted, or that a DJ will respond to a request.
Votes help DJs understand crowd preferences but do not create an obligation to play a particular song.
User-generated content
Guests may submit names, song titles, artist information and dedications or messages. You remain responsible for what you submit.
By submitting content you give GigCrate the permission reasonably needed to store, process and display that content in order to operate the service. GigCrate does not claim ownership of your content.
Event responsibility
GigCrate provides software tools. GigCrate is not:
- The event organiser
- The venue
- The performing DJ
- Responsible for event safety
- Responsible for music licensing
- Responsible for agreements between DJs and their clients
Account suspension
GigCrate may suspend an account for reasons including:
- Abuse
- Security concerns
- Fraud
- Violation of these Terms
- Misuse of the platform
Suspension may restrict access to the DJ dashboard, event management, and guest interaction on affected events.
Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may result from maintenance, internet outages, third-party infrastructure failures or technical faults.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GigCrate is not liable for matters outside our control, including event cancellations, DJ performance, venue issues, internet connectivity, music availability, disputes between guests, and third-party outages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Intellectual property
GigCrate and Global Apogee own or control the rights to the platform's brand, logo, application, design, software and original platform content.
We do not claim ownership of music, artist names, song names, or third-party content submitted by users.
Future paid services
Paid plans may be introduced in future. Any applicable pricing and payment terms will be presented to you before purchase.
